Newton sayeth unto thee "An object that is in motion will tend to stay in motion until an outside force is applied."

My corollary to that law is "An insanely hot chicken wing will remain insanely hot throughout the entire digestive system, only to emerge with the same unsettling force that had smoldered at the start."

The vapors coming off that food were a tip-off to the searing heat that slowly crept up to eye-watering intensity.

I still love hot food, but perhaps Chap-Stik will be the wolfbane I'll need to prevent blisters.

I don't know how it works on exit wounds.
