You know, when you're sanding drywall compound, a thin white dust covers everything.

But be careful when going outside, because you've inhaled that white dust and now your nose hairs have been highlighted in the worst possible way. And everyone you meet is silently saying "BOOG PATROL" in their heads and wondering what their own nostrils look like.
